The Climate Network
Our Grandchildren’s Climate is building links with other groups which share our convictions, both within the UK and beyond.
We are already a member of European Grandparents for Climate (EGC) www.grandparentsforclimate.eu , which comprises twelve constituent national member groups. We stay in touch mainly through Zoom meetings and exchange of Newsletters. Click here for one of our most recent contributions.

Three of our members will be attending a conference of Climate Grandparent organizations in Oslo at the end of August. The tightening of the right to public protest in the UK is mirrored by the move of a number of Continental Governments in an authoritarian direction, and the threat to environmental safeguards following last year's EU elections.
We have recently applied to join the large umbrella organization the Climate Coalition, who are heading a Lobby Your MP (aka Big Green Week) week in Westminster 13th to 20th September. More details via Friends of the Earth website.

350.org is a well-known international campaigning group ("We believe a powerful global network of groups campaigning in their local contexts is essential to stop the climate crisis") and we are considering joining them.

We have already made links with ShareAction, as well as the umbrella organization The Climate Coalition with its 130 member groups.

Some of us have joined Climate Adapted Pathways for Education (https://www.capealliance.org.uk/), a charity that brings together researchers, educators, schools, and partners across the UK who are working to change today's education for tomorrow's climate.
Ideas for making your own contact with other groups can be found on our ACTIONS page, under ARMCHAIR ACTIONS.
